What Kind of Scientist I would Be

If I was one of these five scientists: paleontologist, archaeologist, anthropologists, historian or geographer, I would be either an archaeologist or paleontologist. I think digging in dirt to find all sorts of prehistoric artifacts would be so cool.

Three reasons I would like to be an archaeologist are:

Whenever I go to museums I love seeing all sorts of old things. To me it would be so cool to actually be the one to discover those things. Maybe I could visit the museum and see the things I found. That would be fun. It would be so interesting to find things that are hundreds of years old but still intact. Being an archaeologist would be fun because I love to see old artifacts.

Another reason I would like to be an archaeologist is that I think just digging around in the dirt and finding artifacts would be a lot of fun. And when you find it you could discover all sorts of clues about how people used to live. Like maybe you could discover what they wore, how they built things, what they used for hunting! I could make a huge discovery. I would like to be an archaeologist because I would love to discover artifacts.

The last reason is that the idea that the things I might find would be a thousand years old is so cool. When I went to Cambodia to Angkor Wat I just stood there with my hand on the wall thinking "This was built thousands of years ago, and this was touched by a thousand year old person with their own hands! And now I'm touching it!" So it would be the same thing with the artifacts. I would love finding things that are thousands of years old.

Those are the three reasons that if I had to pick between paleontologist, geographer, anthropologist or archaeologist, I would choose archaeologist.
